Sunnybank $2 Food Trail has announced a massive menu, map, and music lineup for their lucky 8th edition
The Sunnybank $2 Food Trail is super excited to share the official map, menu and music lineup for their 2019 winter foodie extravaganza returning on Saturday 22 June 2019.
From 2pm – 8pm, hungry trail-goers from all over Queensland will be able to feast on over 140 authentic Asian mini dishes from 47 restaurants and outlets across Sunnybank Plaza and Sunny Park Shopping Centre. Everything from Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese, to Korean, Taiwanese and Hong Kong style, will be on offer for only, you guessed it, two bucks!
To accommodate the biggest and luckiest Food Trail yet, Sunnybank Plaza has introduced a huge new outdoor dining precinct and Experience Sunnybank stage, which will showcase live cooking demonstrations hosted by celebrity chef Georgia Barnes. Commencing every hour, local chefs Tony & Tong will take the stage to showcase and sample a variety of authentic Asian cuisines for all the lucky trail-goers.
For the young ones, there will be a free Kids Cooking Zone which will feature 10-minute drop-in style cooking workshops where children can prepare their own authentic vegetarian dumplings, under the supervision of a children’s cooking whiz. There will also be giant board games, as well as colouring in, and face painting.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Sunnybank celebration without everyone’s favourite loud and lavish Lion Dancers – we can hear the drums already! With even more food and more activities, it only makes sense that there will be more LIVE music. This year 10 busker stations will be set up throughout the trail with local musicians performing throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
To celebrate the 8th edition of the Sunnybank $2 Food Trail, you could also WIN a share of $8000+ worth of prizes, including an International Foodie Adventure for 2 people – Anywhere in Asia with EVA Air. To enter, all you have to do is attend the trail, purchase 8 items, collect 8 food stamps as you go, and then hand them in before you leave. Who is feeling lucky?
